By using this website or services provided by APEX Smog Check 2, you agree to the terms below.

Services

APEX Smog Check 2 performs California-required smog inspections for gasoline, diesel, hybrid, RV, motorhome, and out-of-state vehicles. All services are performed in accordance with California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations.

Pricing & Payment

Prices are provided at the time of service. The $29.99 smog special and $20 off coupon are valid for most cars 2000 and newer with a $8.25 state certificate fee. Trucks, SUVs, and mini vans add $10. Coupons cannot be combined with other offers and must be presented at check-in. Payment is due at time of service.

Inspection Results

Smog inspection results are determined by California BAR standards and certified equipment. Results (pass, fail, or gross polluter) are transmitted electronically to the California DMV. We do not control DMV processing times or decisions.

Test Only Inspections

When performing Test Only inspections, we are prohibited by California law from performing repairs on the inspected vehicle. This ensures the inspection remains independent.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the inspection service performed. We are not responsible for pre-existing vehicle conditions, failures of vehicle components during inspection, or consequential damages.
